Chris Pye brings a wealth of skills and experience to his work at A Single Step, with over twenty-five years’ experience across a range of contexts.
Chris trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, in the 1980s, then worked in commercial theatre in London before applying his skills to the fields of Community Cultural Development and Social & Emotional Learning.
Chris Moved to Queensland in 1998, where he worked for Relationships Australia Qld (RAQ), as a Relationships and Family Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and later, Manager of Diversity & Inclusion.
Chris launched A Single Step in 2019, to pursue his passion of working with individuals and couples and help them address the historical attachment wounds that hold threm back from healthy relationships with themselves and their loved ones.
Chris’s eclectic approach draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, including TRTP.
He lives and works in Kaggar Mabul (Mount Gravatt) with his husband, two boys and an over-stimulated kelpie called Jack.
